If you could live at ease, would you? I mean in every second of every minute… throughout your entire life? Would you? What would that look like, feel like, be like?
What is Ease?
What is ease anyways? If you look it up, you will find definitions that sound a bit like “a state of being comfortable”. You also may have heard if you are not at ease, then you are in alignment with dis-ease. That in itself is a huge topic. Butttt… for the purpose of the here and now, let’s be in ease, and focus on what that is at all and if you could live… in ease… would you?
Did you ever think…
Did you ever think in all your years that you, yourself, could actually live in ease. In that state of comfortability, you would find Freedom- freedom from pain, care, discomfort, difficulty, and freedom from burdens.
But wait… that means that you and I would just be… being. We would just be being. That sounds nice doesn’t it. Though, I got to say my mind also screams- BORINGGG! My mind goes into a frenzy at that thought.
Where would we be without these things
Also, how in the world would we learn, grow, evolve… without a bit of chaos. Those challenges life likes to throw at us to mold us and build our character… to see our strength and know how resilient we are. The many lessons that show up that allow us to integrate wisdom and turn the page to a new chapter into our lives. What about the pressure points that hit us when we least expect it where we emerge like a phoenix and rise up to that said challenge and push back because we do not give up. Where would we be without these things?
The Power of Ease
Ahh… but the power of peace… the power of ease is always within you. What if what living in ease looks like is simply a state of mind that says no matter what, ive got this, and I know that with all of my heart. What a powerful statement. And as I speak that aloud, I feel my body settle… my cells calm… my heart slows… my expression relaxes, I even feel my jaw unclamp. What if you can have ease… within the chaos of the day.
The Essence of Ease
Maybe the question I pose to you now isn’t if you could live in ease, would you… but what if you were the essence of ease. What if when you walk out in the morning to find your tire has flattened overnight, that you have a clear mind, because you decided the night before that from this point forward you would live in ease.
You aligned yourself to ease… you became ease… and therefore ease became easy. So, you observed the situation with this clear mind, and instead of the panic setting in you realized that this could actually be something that happened and is working in your favor.
It gives you a chance to slow down, to finish that delicious coffee you left on the counter half gone (still steaming might I add). So, with that ease… and that clear mind… you pull out your phone and call your coworkers or boss at the office and let them know what has happened and that you would be just a bit late. Whoever is on the line says it is totally okay, things happen, be safe and come when you get everything settled.
You are Ease
You know why it wasn’t a problem at all… because you are ease, and so everything around you and in your life becomes ease and easy as well. Wow… imagine how different your life would be. To face the stressors and pressure of the day with ease. There’d be fewer headaches for sure.
Story Time
The whole flat tire, unexpectedly, use to happen to me… all the time! I mean it was almost once a month, honestly. Back in my late teen and early twenties. Whether it was me coming out to go to work and having a flat or driving to somewhere I had no business going and getting a flat… it happened all the time.
I remember driving my little Honda accord, heading to work, and I had gotten about 5 minutes down the street and all I heard was “womp womp womp”. For the first time I didn’t start panicking or crying… you know what I did… I started laughing.
For the time, I was at ease with the situation. Was it fun… of course not. Was it an annoyance, sure… but I didn’t let it throw off my whole day. I flowed in my ease. I became ease. I am 37 now… and I havent had a flat tire since.
Another story about ease
About 2 months ago, I had a call come in, my mom was on the other line. She was crying so hard I couldn’t understand her. My teenage daughter was with her and got on the phone and said that they had a flat tire and was stranded. I breathed in and said, “Okay. I’m on my way, drop me your location, and tell nana to breath. It’s just a flat tire.” I went and changed the tire… and it was no biggy.
Easy Peasy
The whole thing was EASY, and I got to be an example to both of them that day. It showed me something too-that so many times, we ourselves create such discomfort out of the smallest things and lose sight of what ease can truly be even in the hardest of situation.
An Easy Experiment
Take a moment and envision the last time something stressed you out. You know the time that something happened unexpectedly, and it threw your whole day off, the last time you felt discomfort. What happened… how did you handle the experience? What did that feel like… pretty yucky huh… left you feeling aggravated, angry, annoyed, huh?
Now go back to how this experience started, and be the you who you are now, knowing how easy… embodying ease can be…. now how would you had proceeded in that experience. What actions would you take?
And notice your body, emotions, and your mind…. how does that feel?
Comfortable right…. you just rewrote your story and integrated ease into who you are at your core. You are a powerful creator being who is in control and lives in comfort.
If you could live in ease, would you?
So, what is your answer… if you could live at ease… because you can… would you?
Until next time … remember you are pure magic, uniquely you….
Create that best version of you.
